03 / Approach
The song first, then the sound.
I work with artists to turn demos into finished records. My background in songwriting—including my time as bassist and chief songwriter in Matisse, who released four albums through Sony Music Greece—means I understand the artist's side of the process. I start with the song's meaning, then build the production and mix around it.
Before making decisions, I ask a few focused questions: what the song means to the artist, what was happening when it was written and what it should make a listener feel. The answers guide the arrangement, production and mix. I work primarily across pop, rock, indie and electronic music from North Hertfordshire, and remotely with artists across the UK.

My North Hertfordshire setup is built for writing, production and mixing, with recording available for vocals, guitars and bass via DI. For anything beyond that, we can discuss what the project needs.

Based in North Hertfordshire, I work with artists in Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage and the surrounding area, as well as remotely across the UK.
New clients: mixing from £75–150 per track, production from £250–400. Happy to discuss a rate that works for a first project together.
